The Meeting

I took one look at you
And now I don't know what to do
That one glance broke the trance
And now I have no clue

I stood and peered, gazed and stared
I became so suddenly scared

You looked at me like "who is she?"
Looked me up and looked me down
Then you realized who I was
Your eyes grew wide I wondered why

Many years, years full of tears before
You knew who I was you knew me more
We used to be... friends before
But now all we are, are tattered and torn

Torn to pieces mangled and broken
Taken back by appearances and age
Lets just move on to the next page
